it seems that MS has changed another thing on the protocol that made some of you to have problems authenticating on emesene 1, I applied a patch made by Giuseppe Bagnato and changed the hosts to authenticate to the same as emesene 2. That should fix the problems, please do svn up on trunk and tell me if you sill have problems.
Giuseppe Bagnato also added support for proxy authentication, thanks to him!
emesene is a chat program that allows you to connect to different networks like MSN, Gtalk, Facebook chat, Jabber and others.

@Luuk: trunk is the main place where we add all the changes between releases, you can't install it using synaptci or apt get you may want to follow the instructions available here http://emesene.org/trac/wiki

The same as Pyerre is happing to me. Moreover, my avatar image doesn't change in the conversation windows of my contacts, but in my conversation windows and in the main window it changes. It seems that the avatar image or the event couldn't be sended.
