With loads of bugfixes, gui awesomeness and the new year here comes the new release of your beloved msn client:
- Improved gui usability
- New preference window (arielj, ukblacknight, nicolaide, mehd36)
- Implemented nick and personal message roaming (pablo)
- Fixed tons of bugs all around the code (we're too lazy to write 'em all)
This time, even if the changes are big, the changelog is very small: while we make emesene better we're looking towards emesene2 (if you're not reading the blog, do it!) and we need all your support in order to bring our beloved program to a new level :)
You can cooperate with the emesene team in any way you want:

I've been looking for a way to run the script of emesene 1.6 under windows but I couldn't so far. Nevertheless Thank you for doing this amazing software.

Does not work on Windows 7. When I launch it nothing happens.

You have to run it with administrator privilegies because otherwise it wont run. I have windows 7 Ultimate and runs fine!
If that doesn't work, maybe you can try to unpackage the zip file and then run the exe file with administrator privilegies. using both ways I get it running on my pc.

@vito: I was talking about windows 7. If your computer have diferent users with diferent privilegies, your user migth have administrator privilegies to run the software because in other way it won't run. Linux is not the only O.S. with user categories!

@luismarianoguerra: at first you get the installer and it works fine. Once installed, When you try to run emesene 1.6 on windows 7 the program don't work. To get it running you have to run as administrator (right click and "run as administrator") and then the program run fine. I think that it maybe a problem with windows because i have other programs that must be run like this to get it working. I think also that is not big deal, maybe a warning explaining how to run emesene on windows seven would be enough.

@Paolo: non of the developers owns a mac or has access to a mac, so it's difficult to have an official soltion.
Les recomiendo agregar el Windows media player en la opción de "ver lo que estoy escuchando" ya que Winamp s epega mucho =O y el otro no tengo ni idea de cual es ^^U

pero como la PC no es mia solamente si no que la comparto con mi hermana me dijo "deja windows ya estoy muy vieja para aprender a usar otro Sistema operativo" y solo tiene 18

aparte el hecho de conseguir alternativas de mis programas para linux se me resultara bien difícil porque mi Internet actual es muy malo =O
En mi LinuxMint 8 Helena lo puse pero no consume sino traga recursos es muy pesado, aproximadamente en la versión anterior comía 20Mb ahora me dice 56Mb y tengo problemas para que funcione bien ya que mi maquina es algo limitada. ¿Alguien me ayuda? existe versión light o algo que pudiera hacer. Gracias.
